A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE STEPHENS KIDS

Here is a sample day during summer vacation.

The morning started with a good game of ball in the driveway. Kali and Emily slept over last night and Ethan jumped right in the middle of the fun.

To the back yard for a game of badminton.
Martha dropped Matthew and Hunter off around 10:00 and we were off to the bowling alley! Believe it or not, Ethan won the first game!!! Gotta love those bumpers!

Lunch break
Hunter had to leave right after bowling so we had an empty seat in the car. We decided to go pick up Lexy and bring her to the house with us for an afternoon of games in the pool.
Apparently Ethan was a little thirsty.
Highlight of Ethan's day - finding and catching a lizard. He played and played and played with that poor lizard. We won't discuss the state of the lizard at the end of the day.

Ethan asked the lizard if he liked to swim and then dropped him in the pool. The lizard did not like to swim!

Nothing like a cool messy snack on a hot afternoon!

For reasons I will never understand Matthew decided to wrap himself in a roll of toilet paper this afternoon and walk around like a mummy.

Ethan taking a spin in his blue car. Matthew pretending to be road kill.
Love, Love, Love having palm trees in our yard!
Alyssa and Emily still love their Polly's!
Matthew displays all of the sharks teeth that he found at the beach last weekend while camping with the O'Brien's.
Matthew showing us that he learned to ride his bike with no hands while he was away camping last weekend. (notice the house for sale in the background. Anyone looking to buy a house in S.C., we're interviewing for good neighbor's)
Tyler. Yes, the same cat we've had since before Dave and I were married. He has slowed down a lot lately, but is still as much a part of the family as he ever was.
Ethan can do it himself!
Alyssa is off to another sleep - over. This time she's going to Emily's house.

The evening ended with a workout at the YMCA for mom and dad and Hunter will be spending the night with Matthew. Tomorrow we're off to the water park again for some more fun in the sun!
