Happy Birthday Kristen! Hope you had a great day and we hope you are feeling better.

FUN WITH FRIENDS

>> Sunday, May 25, 2008

We had such a relaxing afternoon today. Reinaldo, Maria and Daniel, Trish, Kali and Emily all came over to enjoy the pool. The kid's had fun despite the
boys vs girls wars.

Maria trying to teach Ethan how to say chip in Spanish. Sounds like Papa, so he was getting very confused. She would say "say Papa" and he would say "no, chip."

I know that looks like a cheese curl in her hand (about 25 minutes of zumba!) but I also know she wouldn't eat anything like that . It must be a carrot.

Reinaldo, Dave, Trish and Maria

Watch out everyone! He's armed and dangerous!!

ROUND TOP CHORUS VISITS THE HAVEN

On Friday Alyssa's chorus at Round Top visited the Haven, a nursing home in the Summit. They all did a great job and the residents really enjoyed listening to them perform and visiting with the kids after. We were lucky enough to be able to stop at McDonald's on the way back to school for lunch! Wow, 45 4th graders in one McDonald's!! When we returned to the school the kid's were treated to an ice cream party!

"NO MOMMY, MY NOT TIRED!"

Ethan doesn't think he needs a nap anymore. Some days he
just won't give in so I give up trying. On those days by 5:00 this is usually what happens.

Thanks for the peas Papa!

>> Tuesday, May 20, 2008

When my mom and dad came down to stay with the kid's in February, my dad planted peas in all of my pots. I wasn't sure how they would do, but they did great!! Now every time we go somewhere Ethan has to stop and pick some peas for the ride. He LOVES them!!! I think we're getting close to the end of the crop so I'm going to have to stock up on snacks for the car again!

HAIL!

We had hail tonight!! The kid's couldn't believe their eyes. It was almost 90 degrees today and now tonight there's ice on the ground. Unfortunately Matthew and Alyssa lost interest before I got the camera out so Ethan is the only one in the pictures.

Isle of Palms

>> Sunday, May 18, 2008

We had a great day at the beach!!! We were a little worried about the weather in the morning, but it turned out to be a beautiful day!! We decided to go to Isle of Palms county park with our friends, Trish, Lexy and Kali, Reinaldo, Maria and Daniel. Everyone had a GREAT time. Matthew and Daniel enjoyed mud ball wars, boogy boarding, digging in the sand and beach soccer. The girls had fun searching for shells and getting beat by their moms at beach volleyball. Ethan, as usual, had fun doing everything. He found some big whelk shells with daddy and he loved learning how to boogy board. We had a great day and can't wait to hit the beach again soon! (I think Matthew might choose to use a little more sunscreen next time, he's pretty sore tonight!

I'm speechless and I think I'll leave it at that...

Spring Soccer Season Finale

Alyssa played an awesome last game. Her foot on defense was the best I had seen it all season! Her team won 2 - 0!!

Matthew played a great final game too. He started out on offense and finished the game in the goal - his favorite place to be! His team tied 2 -2!

After the game the team enjoyed a pinata party at the playground. Reinaldo, his coach, made the boys a dinosaur pinata. Of course being the boys that they are they all loved beating it to death!! Matthew was very proud to have the first leg fall to one of his mighty hits!
