This afternoon we went to Liberty Hill,SC. Can you say "country?" This was out there, but worth the drive... it was so much fun. Every year a bunch of musicians get together and jam for hours.

The kids had fun playing board games and playing outside (it was 75 degrees today!) Dave and I enjoyed visiting with friends and listening to some great music!

We finally made it to Pig on the Ridge last night. We hear about it every year, but have never gone. Honestly, I don't think we've ever really wanted to go, but this year curiosity got the best of us and we went! The event is one of the largest barbeque cook off's in the south. Everything about this event is stereo-typical southern!

There were over 60 vendors.... here are a choice few.

We ran into Ms. Rampey and her family. Ms. Rampey was Alyssa's math teacher last year and Matthew's this year. We Love her!

This weeks trip to Publix

I've bored my family to tears over "how much I saved this time" and they don't really listen to me anymore so I decided it was time to share it on the blog!

I am addicted to the site southernsavers.com. Jenny will spoon feed you the best deals at all of the grocery and drug stores in the area each week. I've been getting better and better at it and just had to share this trip.

Before coupons and sales the total bill was $92.46, with coupons and sales I saved $58.19 making the total bill $34.27!!! Hooray for me.

There I feel better now. I shared, you read. Now on to cuter things, like my kids!

Why, oh why, can I take wonderful pictures of other people's children, but when it comes to my own.... it's a mess??!! Today was the first attempt (of many) for a picture for Christmas cards. I don't know why I bother, but we go through the same thing every year. Here are a few of the shots that you will not be seeing on our cards this year. After about 5 more attempts and 300 more pictures, I'm sure the one that ends up on the card will be far worse than any of these because I just won't care anymore and it will be Christmas Eve... again!!!

South Carolina State Museum

The first Sunday of every month is $1 Sunday at the State Museum. Therefore, the first Sunday of the month is when we can be found at the State Museum. The traveling exhibit is Dinosaurs right now so the boys were pretty excited to go.

I didn't take many pictures today, just a few in the hands on science area. This tends to be the kids favorite area as there are several interactive exhibits for them.

Another great, cheap, visit to the State Museum.

Happy Halloween

Halloween is not my favorite, but somehow it ended up lasting a whole week in our house. Earlier this week we went and picked out pumpkins. Wednesday, Ethan had a party at preschool. On Thursday, we carved jack-o-lanterns. Friday we went to Dave's office for trick-or-treating and a party and on Saturday we carved more pumpkins with friends, and trick-or-treated around the neighborhood. The kids had fun, but I am happy to be done with Halloween for another year.
