Pound Kitty’s

Nana decided it was time to get a kitten.  Actually two kittens.  So we went to the Pound.  What a sad place.   So many faces wanting to go home!!!!  We visited with several and decided on two perfect kittens.  One orange tabby and one little gray and white guy.

The two that Nana chose.  Murphy is gray and Morris is orange.  Both of them adorable!

This guy couldn’t be any cuter!

Unfortunately, both of the kittens were sick.  In less than a week they had  several trips to the vet, antibiotics, special food, and lots of TLC.  Sadly, Murphy just got worse and he died. 

Nana didn’t want Morris to be alone so she found a woman who rescued litters of stray kittens.  They adopted a new kitten and named her Missy.  She’s a couple of weeks younger than Morris, but seems to be fitting in just fine.

Morris is the crazy kitty!! He is all over the place jumping and running, but oh so cute.  Even Brady has accepted him.  Morris jumps on Brady, bats at his ears and chews on his leg.  Brady just takes it.

A Weekend in Melbourne, FL

 

Matthew made it through the regional climbing competitions in TN, so we were off to Melbourne, FL for divisionals.   We only had the boys for the weekend because Alyssa was in Gatlinburg, TN for  a week of camp. 

We hit the beach shortly after we arrived.  It was beautiful and the waves were great for boogie boarding!

Our Preschool Graduate

On May 17,2011, Ethan graduated from Shandon Baptist Preschool.  It was a bittersweet moment.  Hate that our last baby is growing up, but excited to see him move on and tackle Kindergarten.  He’s ready!!  Well sort of.  He would really rather stay home and play in the yard collecting bugs and gardening, but it’s time, so on Aug. 15th, off to Kindergarten he goes!!

Doin’ what she loves best!!!

 

Here I am again, falling way behind with this blog!!  So here we are with a post about something that happened a couple of months ago.  Oh well, better late than never…

Alyssa’s recital was on May 5th.  Grandma, Papa, and Auntie Auntie came down for it.  It was a beautiful show!!  The hard work and dedication of all the girls really showed. 

Alyssa loves to dance and she loves the girls that she dances with.  It’s so much fun to watch your kids do what they love!! 

She’s had about a month off now, but will begin Tri-dac in just two days.  Three weeks of intensive dance instruction for almost 7 hours a day.  She can’t wait!!
