4th of July weekend

We had a fantastic 4th weekend!    It started on Saturday with another bird in our house.   Not quite sure why our house seems to attract so many birds, but they definitely like to fly in when the door is open.  Ethan caught and held this one a couple of times.  He thought he could keep it for a pet…. ummm NO!!!

Sunday morning  Alyssa and I  were up and out pretty early to get her to a dance performance.  She performed at a church with her Moving for Christ group. 

As soon as her performance was over we had to rush over to our church because I was supposed to be in the nursery playing with the babies. 

When church was over it was back home for some last minute preparations for an afternoon pool party and cook out with our great friends! 

 

Pat treated us to this amazing peach cobbler!!

Brady loves the chaos! 

The effects of a day full of  food, drinks, friends, and sun! 

When the sun started to set, we packed it up and went to Sandhills for the fireworks. 

The kid’s innocently played ball in the field while…

 

Pat, not so innocently, but rather hilariously, tried to make a quick buck by charging people to park in the public parking area.  :)

I thought for sure he was going to be able to collect from this lady.  She told him he was wearing the wrong color shirt, needed to be Clemson orange for her to give money.  Oh well :)

Finally the fireworks began and they were great!!

 

Monday was a great family day.  Matthew went to camp, we went through bins and boxes in the attic getting ready for the big house renovations, and Ethan decided it was time to take his training wheels off.  A few more days of making daddy sweat and I think he’ll have it!!
