The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

The day started out so good. Ethan was so excited! He had his very own Target gift card to go shopping with. Grandma and Papa had sent him a get well card and in it was a gift card. He held tight to that thing all night long. As soon as he woke up he asked if it was time to go shopping for a toy. We dropped the kid's off at school and headed right to Target. It didn't take him long to decide how he would spend his money. He wanted a special Speed Racer car holder and launcher, a pack of gum and a new set of paints. He walked out of that store so proud of his new purchases. Thanks Grandma and Papa!!

So many choices!

Here it is! This is definitely the one!

The afternoon wasn't nearly as much fun. We had to go back to the orthopedic doctor to get x-rays and a new cast. Ethan was not thrilled when they had to take the first cast off and clean around the pins.
Mommy was not thrilled with having to see these metal things sticking out of his arm!

Once again, Ethan was a real trooper and handled it all very well. This new cast is much heavier than the first, which is kind of tough for him, but it's also much safer. He can hit his arm on things without having to rush back in for more x-rays. Three more weeks and this will all be a memory.
