Picking a Perfectly Imperfect Christmas Tree

>> Monday, December 27, 2010

We couldn’t have a Christmas tree at home this year.  #1 We don’t have an inch of space left to share with a tree, #2 all things Christmas got packed in the garage and it would have taken a huge amount of effort to dig them out, #3 the sheetrock is due to be hung any day now and the tree and ornaments would have been covered in sheetrock dust.  Fortunately, Dave’s sister  was gracious enough to wait to get her tree until we got to MA so we could help pick it out and put it up.

We set out on a cold, windy day to pick a perfect tree at the tree farm…. all 10 of us!!!  10 people scattered all over the field yelling, “I found a perfect one.”  10 different “perfect” trees.  Problem was, we went less than a week before Christmas so “perfect” meant the best of the worst!

This was my choice and a few others too.  If it can’t be perfect, let’s go for extremely imperfect!

Uncle Tim decided we had spent enough time searching so he took the saw out and started cutting.

Matthew helped cut too.
