ETHAN HAS PNEUMONIA!

 I took all three of the kids to the doctor yesterday morning.  Alyssa was going for her (very late) 11 year old well visit. Ethan and Matthew have been coughing for quite a while now so I decided it was time to get them checked.  The results were not very good.   The doctor thought for sure Matthew had strep because the roof of his mouth and his throat were so raw and had spots all over.  The strep test came back negative, but she said there is definitely an infection of some type going on so she put him on an antibiotic.  Ethan's turn was next and she barely had the stethoscope to his back when she said he has pneumonia so he's on an antibiotic too, along with an order to "lay low and sleep lots."  HA!!  Any of you that know Ethan even a little bit know that he does NOT lay low or sleep lots! 

Anyway, we're trying to keep him as quiet as possible.  Lots more TV than usual and trying to encourage sitting still toys. 

These frogs have been Ethan's best friends today.  He has played and played and played with them!   

He built them a tower

 

He taught them how to "pop."

complete with froggy beds

and froggy blankets

 

All was well in froggy land until Brady came along and ran through the house knocking the frogs out of bed.

Ethan insisted that froggy was bleeding and needed a band aid.

 

Matthew has spent the last two days laying in bed watching tv and reading.  I'm hoping he can go back to school tomorrow.  In the meantime, I'm sure  Ethan will continue to play with his frogs.
