TRICK OR TREAT!
>> Saturday, November 8, 2008
Halloween was crazy busy, but so much fun! We picked Alyssa and Matthew up from school, brought them home to change into their costumes and we went to the YMCA. The Y had an event where they had stations set up throughout the building with things for the kid's to do and tables to trick or treat at. After the Y we went home to have pizza with some friends. Lots of friends!! We started out with just a couple of people coming over but ended up with 20 people for the night. We had a blast!! We hit the streets and made it through our whole neighborhood. The weather was perfect so it was a great night for a walk. When the kids decided they had collected enough loot we went back to the house. There the bartering began. Everyone dumped their candy out, sorted, counted, and traded their goods.
A fun, successful night.
Matthew, Miguel, Thomas
Alyssa and Emily
Ethan

Hittin' the streets.
Alyssa was a stick person and unfortunately I was not a very good photographer. She really looked great. She was dressed all in black with glow sticks taped to her, making her look like a stick figure drawing. Kali made for an adorable Dorothy, Lexi a babysitter (not really, but she took care of Ethan most of the night so that's what I told her) and Emily another stick person.

Our neighbor and local weather man, Joe Pinner. He hid in the woods in front of his house and jumped out at the kids with his axe. It was quite funny!

Martha Stewart, I mean, Trish Maynard showed up with these yummy cupcakes.
