The way things look around here these days

 

Roses are budded

and blooming

Mock orange is in full bloom

Magnolia is budded and getting ready to pop

Summer squash is off to a great start

Iris’ are beautiful!

Confederate Jasmine is in full bloom all around the mail box

New growth on the cactus

The chickens…. oh the chickens.  They are growing.  Getting more and more feathers every day.  When they get tired during the day they like to dig a little hole and lay in it together.

Chicken feet are u-g-l-y. Ugly!

….and Bruce the duck.  He has quickly become a favorite member of our family.  He’s not feeling real well today…. running a fever I think… really, his bill and feet are HOT!  He’s been sleeping a lot on the front porch.  What do you do when a duck runs a fever?    Hopefully he’ll be better tomorrow.

Feeders are filled and waiting for the return of the hummingbirds.  They’re late this year… I hope they’re coming!

Just a few more weeks and there will also be a lot more noise around here.  School is beginning to wind down!!!!!
