Nana’s Birthday on Folly Beach

What better way to spend your birthday than sitting on this beautiful beach???   Last Sunday was Mom’s/Nana’s birthday and we decided to spend the day on Folly Beach.  The forecast was iffy, but it turned out to be a perfect day!!! 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM!!!

We had only been in the water for a short time when the whistles blew…… Everyone out of the water!!   We had seen lots of schools of mullet fish jumping and apparently when this happens they pull everyone out of the water until they pass.  Lots of fish tends to attract lots of sharks.   The life guard told us they weren’t allowed to use the “S” word, she simply said everyone had to get out until the “aquatic wildlife” passed.   We didn’t see any sharks while we were waiting, but we did see several dolphins.   Fortunately, it didn’t take too long to get the all clear to go back in.
